Cryotherapy & wart removal

What are warts?

Warts are small, non-cancerous growths on the skin caused by an infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV). They can appear anywhere on the body but are most commonly found on the hands, feet, and fingers. Warts are usually rough to the touch and can vary in appearance, size, and color, ranging from skin-colored to darker shades.

What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a medical treatment that involves using extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue. This procedure is commonly used to treat a variety of skin conditions, such as warts, skin tags, and certain types of skin cancer. It can also be applied in other medical fields, such as treating prostate, liver, or cervical cancers, and in sports medicine to reduce pain and inflammation.

How does Cryotherapy work?

During cryotherapy, a substance like liquid nitrogen is applied directly to the targeted area, freezing the tissue. The cold temperature causes the abnormal cells to die, which are then naturally eliminated by the body. Cryotherapy is generally quick, minimally invasive, and usually causes only mild discomfort, making it a popular choice for many treatments.
